FYI (from http://www.google-phone.com) the T-Mobile G1 (aka the Google phone) came out last week for $179. It has a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen, a flip-out QWERTY keyboard, dual-band UMTS HSPA, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. There’s a 3.2-megapixel fixed-focus camera, microSD slot and a trackball for navigation. Google Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar and IM are preloaded, plus access to Amazon’s MP3 download store. A compass features works with Google Street View so you can turn while holding the phone automatically pans the display, so it’s always in the direction you’re pointing.
